If your spouse has a valid study permit and is a full-time student in Canada:

  • in any Canadian private institution authorized by provincial statute to confer degrees; OR
  • in a public post-secondary institution, such as a college or university or Collège D’enseignement Général Et Professionnel (CEGEP) in Quebec; OR
  • in any private post-secondary institution that officially concurs with the rules and regulations of a public institution, and receives at least 50% of its financing for its overall operations from government grants (in which case, only private college-level educational institutions in Quebec qualify);
